The symptoms you've described though do sound like those from bronchitis, and the medications your doctor has given you seem to be targeted to treating that. Sometimes medications take a while to work, don't expect to take pills over only 2 days for what sounds like a pretty serious infection and think it'll go away in a snap. Then again, I'm not a doctor - overall, if you don't trust your diagnosis there's no harm in getting a second opinion from another doctor.
